Looking through the most recent report of us and our comparator councils, its evident that there are some wide variations in performance and/or how things are done, e.g. in ‘Approval Rates’ it varies from 78% to 98%, and for ‘Applications valid on Day 1’, the range is 100% to 41%, and ‘Withdrawal Rates’ varies from 0% to 16%.
But, the data doesn’t provide any clues as to why it is different. So, a suggestion is that the forum is used for those who are above the average in a positive way, e.g. the council who has no applications withdrawn, to say in a few words how they do it.Great idea Bryan. We’re going to do some ‘so what’? events soon, but in meantime I will try and coax this out of people by getting them to ‘ask your comparators a question’ on here. I’ll email everyone next week.
